How to Get Rid of Eye Bags

Having eye bags is never good news for anyone. Eye bags can make you look tired, haggard, and sometimes can even make you look sick.

We get eye bags for numerous reasons: lack of sleep, crying, drinking too much alcohol, having sinusitis, and having allergic reactions.

If you have unwanted bags under your eyes, don’t fret. There are many ways you can get rid of eye bags without the aid of surgery. What’s more, you can remove your eye bags from the comforts of your own home, and you can do it yourself.

Here are some ways you can eliminate those hideous eye bags with the use of simple household items:

Spoon – Yes, spoons are very effective in removing eye bags and even dark circles around the eyes. First, you have to prepare around six metal spoons and place them in your freezer for about 15 minutes. Then, take one spoon and place the rounded portion over your eye until the spoon becomes warm. As soon as the spoon becomes warm, replace it with another spoon you have prepared.

Cucumber – The use of cucumber to make your eyes look rested and fresh has been known worldwide for years now and for a good reason—because cucumber works wonders! Cucumbers contain anti inflammatory ingredients that help relax the eyes and tighten skin around the eye area. Simply refrigerate cucumbers and cut them into thick slices once they cool. Place them over your eyes; you may also cover them with cloth once they are over your eyes to help maintain its temperature. Then leave it there for about 25 minutes to let the cucumbers totally soothe your eyes.

Potato – Just like cucumbers, potatoes have special components that help soother tired, puffy eyes. Thoroughly wash, peel, and dry a potato then slice it. Moisten your eye area with clean water then place the sliced potato over your eyes for 15 minutes. Alternatively, you can also opt to grate the potatoes instead. Once the potato was grated, place it inside a clean cloth and tie it up. Place the cloth over your eyes and repeat as necessary.

Used Tea Bags –Tea bags contain anti irritant elements that also help get rid of eye bags. Just let the tea bags cool down in a refrigerator after you’ve used it (or after soaking it in warm water), then place them over your eyes for 15 minutes.

Of course, these are just temporary remedies to help you remove eye bags. Still, nothing beats treating your body the right way for your eyes to not appear tired as your body is. Get enough sleep and rest, maintain a healthy diet, and don’t forget to drink lots of water for your system to be able to eliminate toxins, too.

How to Walk In High Heels

By jadastyles 4 years ago

Being able to walk in high heels has many advantages – it can make you look taller, make your legs look longer, and can overall make you look sexier. All in all, being able to walk in high heels well can add to your self-confidence.

The ability to walk in high heels effortlessly is a skill that can be learned. Aside from practicing to actually walk in five-inch stilettos, there are tips you can keep in mind while learning how to walk in high heels.

First of all, you have to take your time in learning how to walk in these shoes. Don’t rush things. You should understand that mastering walking in high heels takes time. Otherwise, if you try to speed things up before you’re ready, you risk getting injuries and painful feet.

One of the differences in walking with high heels compared to walking in flat shoes is that you have to take smaller steps or strides in high heels. Don’t try to lengthen your stride, or you will look awkward.

If this is your very first time to use high heels, it’s best to start small and work your way from there. Don’t go trying to walk in five-inch heels right away. Try two inches first or even wedge shoes for you (and your feet and legs) to get accustomed to the feeling. You can move up to taller heels once you feel comfortable walking in not-so-tall ones.

Of course, nothing beats practice. Use your high heeled shoe at home. Walk slowly and carefully at first. One of the most important things to remember when walking in high heels is that your walk has to appear natural. The best way to walk while in high heels is to let the heel of your foot land on the ground first before smoothly transferring your weight to your toes. When practicing, make sure you try to walk on different types of surfaces, that is: carpeted floors, tiled floors, etc. This is for your feet to get used to how it feels when you actually use high heels outside the house.

Maintain a straight posture. Yes, using high heels can give you a sexier stance – but if and only if you know how to handle it well. Additionally, maintaining a straight posture while walking in heels make you look more confident.

Knowing how to walk in high heels properly won’t only boost your confidence, it will also ensure that you won’t get injured as you stride proudly in them.

Remedies for Dry Skin

Remedies for Dry Skin

No matter how high the quality and how expensive your make up is, it would still be difficult to look good when you have dry skin. Moreover, having dry skin isn’t only unpleasant to see, but it is itchy and unhealthy as well.

Dry skin can be a result of many things, from cold wintery months to an underlying negative health condition.

While you can opt for commercial moisturisers sold at the local store, these moisturisers can be quite expensive. Luckily, there are various ways you can remedy and soothe your dry skin at home.

When you have dry skin, the goal is to moisturise it; and there is no better way to moisturise your skin than using oil. If you are looking for a truly affordable means to make your skin supple and smooth, you can use your household Olive oil. Olive oil can serve as a truly effective moisturiser. It also has anti inflammatory ingredients that relieve reddening skin.

Avoiding long, hot baths can also help prevent having dry skin. While hot baths can feel relaxing, it can thoroughly dry your skin. Use lukewarm water for your baths instead.

Applying milk to your skin can also soothe dry skin. Milk can effectively get rid of the irritating itch that comes with dry skin.

When you use moisturisers, or even Olive oil as mentioned above, do it at the right time. Moisturisers and lotions were designed to lock in your skin’s moisture. So, the best time to apply them is right after you’ve taken a bath – while you’re skin is still damp from the shower.

The use of strong antibacterial soaps or beauty soaps rich in strong chemicals is a no-no when you have dry skin. Make sure that you use extremely mild soap to avoid aggravating your skin’s dryness.

Try the overnight cure: Soak in a lukewarm bath to the point where your fingers and toes start to wrinkle, then lightly pat your body dry. Afterwards, apply oil onto your entire body while your skin’s damp and then put on your pyjamas and go to bed. You’ll wake up all supple and properly moisturised.

Shaving when you have dry skin can also cause more irritation to your skin because doing so does not only eliminate unwanted hairs; shaving also strips your skin of natural oils. However, if shaving is necessary, just make sure to do it right after showering and don’t forget to use shaving creams/gels.

Having dry skin is no laughing matter; use these tips to soothe your dry skin.
